An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Woodwind Teacher who is passionate about teaching and inspiring young people to learn to play a musical instrument.


There are currently 12 hours available per week, teaching in multiple schools across Kirklees during term time (33 weeks per year):

  • teaching in a whole class setting (WCET)
  • teaching individual/small groups of students in schools within the Shelley area of Kirklees and
  • ensemble directing on Saturday mornings at Musica Shelley


Due to existing commitments, it is essential for the candidate to be able to work on Tuesday afternoons and Saturday mornings (other days can be flexible).


In addition, we provide up to 15 hours of paid recruitment over the year and the position will be paid £28.00 per contact hour (plus teachers’ pension).


A full driving licence and access to transport is desirable for this role.
