Welcome to Musica Youth Jazz Ensemble

Musica Youth Jazz (MYJ) was set up in response to the increasing demand for a top quality jazz ensemble in Kirklees. The aim was to build on the success of the big bands and other jazz groups in the music centres and schools throughout the area.

MYJ enjoys performing a wide range of Big Band music, from Latin and rock, jazz to classic swing and vocal charts. They are a young jazz ensemble who rehearse once a week.

MYJ is an award-winning ensemble and amongst their many achievements have performed at the National Festival of Music for Youth in Birmingham, receiving excellent feedback from the mentors.
