Live performances in your school
Our live music experiences bring all the excitement of a gig, concert or ensemble into your school hall.
Teams range from 5 to 40 professional musicians and cater for all school year groups.
For many pupils, this may be their first opportunity to engage with live music and we aim to make it an experience they'll never forget.
Performances take place in the last week of the Autumn Term.
Places are limited - please book early!
Stick Man: The Musical
Approximately 45 minutes. Ideal for Early Years and KS1.
Get ready for an unforgettable Christmas treat! We’re thrilled to bring you Stick Man: The Musical, specially created for Early Years and KS1 children. This festive show, brought to life by our talented guitar and ukulele teachers, transforms the beloved Stick Man story into a magical, musical, immersive experience. With incredible sound effects and heaps of audience participation - singing included - this is a performance your pupils won’t want to miss!
Ukulele Christmas Singalong
Approximately 45 minutes. Suitable for KS1 and KS2.
Get ready to kick off the holiday season with a bang!
Join us for a lively Ukulele Christmas Singalong with Musica Kirklees, packed with festive cheer and music. Our talented team of ukulele teachers will play a selection of your favourite festive tunes with lots of interactive fun. Whether you're a pupil or a teacher, you'll be swept up in the holiday spirit!
Pop Recital
Approximately 55 minutes. Suitable for KS2, KS3 and KS4.
Get ready to bring the exhilarating atmosphere of a live pop concert straight to your school! This high-energy performance will have the band rocking out with an epic mix of chart-topping hits from the 1960s to today, covering many different musical styles. From ABBA’s iconic tunes to ZZ Top’s legendary rock anthems, we’ve got something for everyone! Your students and staff will be singing and clapping along to unforgettable hits whilst getting to see many of the instruments found in their favourite rock and pop groups. It's the ultimate musical journey that will have everyone on their feet and provide an experience they will remember forever.
Please note - recitals will need to take place in a room large enough to accommodate your audience plus up to 10 musicians and their equipment.
Orchestral Experience
Approximately 55 minutes. Suitable for KS2, KS3 and KS4.
Get ready to hear - and feel - the magnificent sound of a full orchestra as it brings the energy, excitement and the thrill of live music to your school! From iconic film scores to timeless orchestral masterpieces and captivating vocal pieces, this performance has it all and will guide your pupils through the different sections of the orchestra. Pupils who play orchestral instruments (grade 4 and above) will have the chance to step into the spotlight and perform alongside the orchestra too. Don’t miss out on this electrifying musical adventure that will leave everyone inspired and amazed!
