free taster sessions with MUSICA KIRKLEES

This term's spotlight is on the awesome TROMBONE!

We've been overwhelmed by your support for this initiative - thank you to everyone who has expressed an interest in learning to play the trombone.  We'll be able to take bookings for our next exciting instrument soon so please check back later for more opportunities.

You can still apply for lessons with us, in any instrument, using our lesson application form.

To help us celebrate this wonderful instrument we'd like to give children in Kirklees schools the opportunity to receive up to 3 FREE trombone sessions.

We hope these taster sessions will inspire your child to take up regular, ongoing music lessons in playing an instrument or singing.  You can find out more about our lessons and fees on our tuition pages.

About the trombone

The trombone is a member of the brass family.  It is very easy to identify because of its long slide and fun sound.  Watch this short video to see the trombone in action:

FREE taster sessions - what are they?

Pupils can receive up to 3 free sessions in a group, at their school, with use of an instrument (subject to availability).  Your child will get hands-on experience of playing a musical instrument with expert guidance from the Musica Kirklees teaching team.

Taster lessons are available to pupils attending Kirklees schools in school year 11 and under.

If you'd like to register for regular, ongoing lessons instead of taster sessions please visit our tuition page.

How to apply for your taster sessions

Our trombone taster sessions are now fully subscribed, but please check back later for our next exciting 'spotlight' instrument when we'll reopen booking.

If you'd like to learn the trombone, or any instrument, with us you can still apply for lessons using our application form.

Places are limited but we'll try to visit as many pupils as possible.  If we aren't able to arrange for a trombone taster session, we may be able to offer an alternative if available.

Priority will be given to pupils who have not previously received taster sessions.
